Where is the employe's grading scale presented within the Review?

Learn the concept of "grading scale" and how it is used in Reviews.

Within the performance evaluation tool, an employee can receive ratings from individuals in different hierarchical positions (read more about relationships here), such as self-review, peer review, and leader review. These ratings help understand how the employee is perceived by different groups.

👉 However, in certain contexts, it may be necessary to have a ranking of employees for comparison purposes. To achieve this, it is necessary to choose which type of average will be used to rank individuals (read more about averages). This is the role of the final concept: selecting the average responsible for this ranking.

In the platform there are 3 types of averages:

  • Average

  • Average without self-review

  • Leader grading

In this article, we will explore where the final concept is presented and how it is used.

🟣 Team Results

The grading scale, on the team results page, represents all the grades that appear in the table and in the grading scale column.

If you open the grading scale you can see other types of grades.

It is important to know that grade calibration can be done in this page, i.e. the grading scale is the grade that will be calibrated.

🟣 Individual Report

In the individual report, the grading scale is shown in the 'speedometer chart' and in the first column highlighted in gray. In the example below, the grading scale chosen was the overall average.

🟣 9-box

The grade considered in the 9-box is always the grading scale. If there are calibrations, the grade that will be considered is the calibrated grading scale. If you want to know more about how the 9-box works at Qulture Rocks see this article.

⚠️ It is important to note that for the averages to be shown in the platfoem, the weights of the relationships must not be set to zero.

Even if the grading scale is "Leader grading", you have the option to view the average of all the reviews received (in the team results screen and in the individual reports, as well as in some exports). If you set of the weights to zero, by relationship, and keep only the Leader grading with weight above zerp, the average shown in the platform will be equal to the Leader grading.
