How to create or change a scale in a Perf. Cycle Review

Grading label are the options of the questions in a Performance Cycle Review. For example:

 

Question 1 : How often did you follow up your IDP Action Plans on the previous quarter?
a) Everyday
b) Every week
c) Every month
d) I didn't have an IDP to follow up

 

The alternatives, a, b, c and d are the grading type of the question 1.

 

 

How to create a new grading labels?

  1. Click on the "New question" button and then on "Create new grading labels";

  2. Write the name of the scale in the "Granding Type Name" field;

  3. Write label of each grade, the grade description and click on the "Create" button.

 

How to change/edit a grading labels?

It's possible to change the grading labels by following the steps:

1. At the right side of the name of the Perf. Cycle Review, click on "Settings" (gears icon)

2. On the left sidebar, click “Topics” and then click on the question that you want to change the grading labels.

On this page you will notice that it is possible to register different types of grade scales depending on the number of options in the assessment. Where:

Labels for 3 grades: This is the information to fill in a 3-grade scale.

Labels for 4 grades: This is the information to fill in a 4-grade scale.
Labels for 5 grades: This is the information to fill in a 5-grade scale.


⚠️Important: If you are editing a grading labels, please, pay attention! If it is being used in other question in the same Perf. Cycle Review or another, it will be changed everywhere. Check the warning message:



🚀 Good to know: By defaut, grading type format are vertical. If you want, you can choose to change to horizontal format by selection the option:

 


How to hide grades?

It's also possible to hide grades from a scale. For example, if you have set up a 5-grade scale but need to add another scale with only 3 grades, you can hide the other 2.

 

  1. When creating or editing a scale, type the numbers of the grades you want to hide in the "Hide grades" field as the example bellow:

  2. Save your edits.

 

IMPORTANT CAUTION:

  • If it's a question that generates a computable score, it's preferable to keep the highest and lowest score (1 and 4) and hide one of the intermediate scores (2 or 3).

  • If we leave the highest score hidden, we may have an unbalanced calculation of the average - since the maximum score the person reaches in this question becomes 3 and not 4, which may impact the box and the use of the scale of concepts.
