How to create an IDP cycle
Before you write an IDP, it is necessary to determine a cycle. In this article, you’ll learn how do it.
It's your first time accessing the PDI module or would you like to create a new cycle? This article will explain the process, which is simple and quick! There are two paths for creation: if it's the first cycle to be created or if there's already at least one cycle created.
🟣 For the first cycle to be created, follow the steps below:
-
In the navigation bar, click on the PDI product (the name may vary according to the company);
-
On the top right of the screen, click on the "+" icon;
-
Enter the cycle data;
-
The label for development area is the information that will appear next to the "new" button, in our case, we leave it as "Development Area"
-
-
Click on "Save";
-
Click on "Activate Cycle";
-
⚠️ Only activate if you want the cycle to be visible to all employees.
-
-
Confirm the action.
If you prefer to keep it as a "Draft", simply access the PDI cycle again to activate it.
🟣 If there is already at least one cycle, follow the steps below:
-
In the navigation bar, click on the PDI product (the name may vary depending on the company).
-
In the top right corner of the screen, click on the name of the current cycle to access more options.
-
Select the option "Manage Cycles".
-
From this point onwards, simply follow the steps mentioned earlier to create a new cycle.
