What is Two Factor Authentication?

 

To understand how it works, it is necessary to understand what Two Factor Authentication is. Two-factor authentication, or if you prefer 2FA, is a security procedure that guarantees double protection for your data.

 

How it works?

 

2FA consists of generating six-digit verification codes to confirm that it is you who are trying to access a particular account / platform. These codes last 20 seconds, after which they expire and a new code is generated.

 

This procedure presents this dynamic because the authenticator needs to be synchronized with Google, and it is through this synchronization that the codes are validated.

My Authenticator codes don't work, what should I do?

 

This can happen if the time is not synchronized correctly in the Google Authenticator app. To configure the time, follow these steps:

1. Access Google Authenticator

2. Then click Settings.

3. Then click on "time correction for codes"

 

I switched devices or lost my device. What should I do?

In case you lose your device, you will need to perform a 2FA reset, for that, just contact the Qulture team at the chat. Don't worry, to make sure it's you, we will send you an email confirming the request.

 

My company does not have 2FA configured for Qulture.Rocks. What should I do?

If your company does not have 2FA, possibly it accesses via SSO. It is recommended that admins, BPs and C-Level have access to sensitive data. If your company wants 2FA, it is possible to activate for all users.
