This FAQ aims to provide clear and transparent information regarding the use of the Azure OpenAI service on the Qulture.Rocks platform. Below, you will find answers to frequently asked questions concerning privacy and data security. If your question is not addressed here, please feel free to contact us.

🟣 What is the Azure OpenAI service, and how does it differ from OpenAI (the creator of ChatGPT)?

Azure OpenAI provides Qulture.Rocks with advanced language AI capabilities, along with the security and reliability of Azure's enterprise-grade services. It grants access to the OpenAI REST API, which includes powerful language models such as GPT-3 for content generation. OpenAI and Azure OpenAI co-develop the APIs, ensuring compatibility and a seamless transition between the services.

🟣 How will Azure OpenAI be used on the Qulture.Rocks platform?

Qulture.Rocks is building an integration between the Individual Performance Review and Azure OpenAI. This integration will be a new section in the sidebar of the Review, where managers can choose to leverage AI assistance in interpreting the data. It is important to note that the usage of this feature is at the discretion of the customer, and enabling or disabling the integration is their responsibility.

🟣 Will all customers have access to this new feature?

No. The activation or deactivation of the integration with Azure OpenAI is the customer's decision. Not all customers will have access to this feature, as it is up to each organization to determine whether they want to utilize it or not.

🟣 Will the usage of this feature be similar to the ChatGPT format?

No. The user experience will not follow a chat-based format. Users will simply click a button, and the Qulture.Rocks platform will send a prompt with the evaluation data to Azure OpenAI. This approach ensures that users cannot add additional information beyond what is already present in the Performance Review. This enhances security by preventing the use of offensive or discriminatory terms.

🟣 Can managers modify the text generated by the platform before sending it to their direct reporters?

Yes. Upon receiving the AI-generated response, managers will have the option to edit the text and save it in the sidebar of the review or discard it. The Qulture.Rocks platform allows leaders to make adjustments to the generated text before sharing it with their direct reporters.

🟣 Will Qulture.Rocks share customer data with Azure OpenAI? If so, what data will be shared?

Yes. Qulture.Rocks may share customer data related to user performance, professional development, evaluations by managers and colleagues, and other profile information and ratings available on the Qulture.Rocks platform. Profile information may include name, CPF (Brazilian identification number), email address, and other optional information fields chosen by the customer.

This data will be included in prompts (sent by the user) and responses (generated by the service) during the training and validation phase of the OpenAI model, as well as during the usage of the feature.

🟣 Are customer data processed by Azure OpenAI sent to OpenAI?

No. Microsoft hosts the OpenAI models within its Azure infrastructure, and all customer data sent to Azure OpenAI remains within the Azure OpenAI service. There is no transfer of customer data to OpenAI.

🟣 Is customer data used to train the OpenAI models?

No. Microsoft does not use customer data to train, retrain, or improve the models in the Azure OpenAI service. Customer data is treated confidentially and used solely for specific purposes related to the functionality and security of the Qulture.Rocks platform.

🟣 What security is provided by Azure OpenAI?

With Azure OpenAI, Qulture.Rocks benefits from the security features provided by Microsoft Azure while running the same OpenAI models. Azure OpenAI offers private networking, regional availability, and responsible content filtering for artificial intelligence.
