How to create Partial Goals in Key Results

Partial goals are milestones that help you measure Key Result progress over time.

Updated over a year ago

It is possible to "segment" the achievements of your Key Result into partial goals within a period. To create them, follow the steps below 😊

Step by step

1. Click on the Key Result that you want to create the partial goals;

2. On the following screen, to the right of the graph, click on "Plan partial goals";

3. Define the period to be established for the partial goals;

4. If you define the period as monthly, the platform will return the months that make up the cycle;

5. If the period is customized, it will be possible to insert the necessary number of periods and define the start and end dates for each one. The start date of the first period will always be the start date of the cycle. To exclude a period, use the icon;

6. To help define the goal for each period, there is a counter that shows how much of the total goal has already been distributed; It is not possible for the sum of the periods to exceed the total amount defined.

7. Once registered, the table looks like the model:

✏️Note: When updating the Key Result progress, it is necessary to consider the date to which the value refers. The progress update date should reflect the period of the registered partial goal so that it correctly demonstrates whether it is off track or not.

✏️Note: To add or subtract a value from achieved, it's necessary to input the incremental value instead of the accumulated value.

After these steps, you are now expected to be able to create partial goals in key results.
