Understand here the different ways the platform has to calculate the progress of the OKRs

Updated over a year ago

In the OKRs product of the Qulture.Rocks platform, you can define how the progress of your results will be measured: automatically, manually or with progress intervals with notes. Below you can understand how each one works.

Automatic Progress

Automatic progress is the standard way the platform performs the progress achievement calculation. That is, the platform will take your current indicator value and show the percentage comparing it to your initial Key Result value (where you are starting from) and to your final value (where you want to get to).

Just enter the value of your indicator and click "Update" and the platform will calculate it easily and quickly:

Manual Progress

Manual progress is used for cases which the goal achievement does not follow the Platform's standard calculation as it is done in automatic mode. In these cases it is possible to enter this achievement manually, ensuring the correct Score (percentage of progress).

Note that now you can enter not only the value of the indicator to be updated, but also that of the progress itself. In this case, this is how the Key Result will look like:

Progress with Intervals and Notes

In this case, the progress calculation is done automatically and, along with it, you can enter different ranges with their achievement scores. Here we can accomplish this in two different ways:

  • Linear: where the final score will be proportional to the percentage, just as it works in a linear graph. For example:

In this case, we have only 1 range of scores, which vary between 0 and 1 within a progression from 0% to 100%. That is, if the employee achieves between 0% and 100%, his or her score will be proportional within the 0 to 1 scale. In this example, the achievement of 50% is equal to a score of 0.50.

  • Constant: Where the final score is within a constant range of goal attainment. For example:

In this example, we have progress from 0%-50% with grade 1 and progress from 50%-100% with grade 5, always with the initial value included in that progress range (closed range) but not the final value (open range). Therefore, the value of 30% returns grade 1 and the value of 50% returns grade 5.

Note: If the progress made towards the goal exceeds the ceiling of the last entered interval, the grade achieved will be that of the last interval. A warning about this issue will always appear when creating the last interval:

The platform by default shows 6 setting ranges, but you can enter as many ranges as you like, just enter the desired value and select it to save correctly:
